      The RLC National Board held a teleconference on
      March 9 and discussed a wide range of issues and
      projects.
      Mike Hewitt and Jeff Palmer, as the new Acting
      Vice Chair and Treasurer respectively, provided the
      Board with an over-view of their immediate objectives
      and plans.
      Various aspects of state chapter development were
      discussed, including the membership Growth Contest
      and state eGroups. The moderation status of the
      various national eGroups was also reviewed.
      Adam Bernay reported on his plans as our "GOP
      Activism Director" and invited the assistance of the
      various state officers in preparing a guide.
      Chairman Westmiller reported that Tim Condon
      had agreed to a title promotion, from Assistant to
      RLC Chapter Director (a title previously held by
      John Reed).
      The Board unanimously approved the expenditure
      of $300 in support of the Florida RLC efforts in support
      of a John Stossel Event. Phil Blumel reported on the
      current status and progress in promoting the event
      (see www.rlcfl.org for details).
      Westmiller reported on progress with the planned
      fundraising mailing to Reason Foundation contributors,
      the status of commissioned fundraising by Lonnie
      Brantley, RLC website host status, the Draft Sanford
      website development and plans being prepared by
      Jon Boguth, the new RLC Campus Coordinator.
      The Board also discussed membership input on
      adopting an official RLC Logo, the printing of RLC
      brochures, and future 'Liberty Watch' and printed
      newsletter production.
