Maine scored on REAL ID; New Hampshire Republicans fumbled
- The New Hampshire House passed a bill prohibiting use of State funds
to implement REAL ID. The New Hampshire Senate killed it at the
request of Washington Republicans.
The people of New Hampshire shortly afterwards elected a Democrat
House and Senate for the first time since 1911 and also elected
Democrats to the two congressional seats. The New Hampshire Senate
President also lost his seat his opponent made a big issue about
REAL ID. The size of the swing (22%) is thought by many to be due to
Republican's defense of REAL ID.
