RE: [RLC-Action] Texas Congressional Race - CD22
Guy, we need to lobby them too to not endrose ANYONE. Tina B. will be there......there is no way they would allow L-Smither to be endorsed. BEST scenerio is to get them to come to a consensus to not vote on any "consensus candidate" a write in cant win anyway. the purpose of the meeting is to back a write in candidate. there is NO mechanism of the state party to do this under any election code to begin with. as anyone can go and file as a write in if they want to. its alll being done to give the "resemblence" of some "official" crediblity behind one candidate for a write in.
no write in can win this seat anyway.......so they need to vote to NOT endorse anyone....and to STOP pushing the lunacy of a doomed write in race for congress. and not spend one CENT of republican party money, or effort into a knowing losing situation. THAT will "free" many REpublicans to then ENDORSE L-Smither. if there is NO "pseudo-sanctioned" republican write in candidate. (and technically ANY write in candidate is an independent to begin with)
NO CONSENSUS CANDIDATE is the message....... they need to vote to walk away from a futile write in effort.

Please lobby all your precinct chairpersons in CD22, and ask them to support Bob Smither for Congress.
There is no Republican in the race, so you got no other dog in the hunt.
LP candidate Bob Smither has declared his intention to caucus with the Republicans if elected.
Chair Harris County LP
