         Yesterday's primary election in Nevada produced some
      disappointments. US Sen. John Ensign was expected
      to win and gathered 89.7% of the primary vote, but the
      RLC endorsed candidates for Governor and 2nd CD
      failed.
         Bob Beers came in second in a five-way race, with
      28.8% of the vote, behind Rep. Jim Gibbons.
         In a VERY close five-way contest for the nomination
      in the 2nd CD, Sharon Angle apparently lost by 00.61%
      of the vote (428 ballots) to incumbent Secretary of
      State Dean Heller. It isn't clear at this point whether
      there are uncounted ballots or a recount pending.
      However, Heller is in charge of the vote counting ...
