- Mar 31, 2009There are still lots of holes all over RDO, and one serious omission was a
Sept. 1994 Le Lundi article that happens to contain some significant
portraits from the pre-Nikita era, so I couldn't let Portrait Year go by
without adding it to the collection of translated articles. The enlarged
version of the photos are a bit bigger than normal, so they might take a
little longer to load.
Enjoy them on Page 2 of Magazines in the Library. Direct link at

I noticed that December 1993 Qui Hebdo had been promising pics "soon" for
about the last 10 years. Better late than never! Same general area as
above.

Some of you may remember in 2004 a Canadian university professor, Dr Maria
Ng, wrote a paper on RDO and 'the female gaze' with respect to Michael. I
have now obtained permission to publish the paper in full. Remember it's a
snapshot from 5 years ago, so a lot of the numerical details are well out of
date. I'm not sure that the female lust has changed much though.
It's the last article in the Miscellaneous section in the Library (a 22 page
pdf)

Congratulations to 'December' for winning the portrait poll. However,
voting is still open.
Finally, it's time to give you an idea of our plans for the 46th birthday on
April 23rd. Taking inspiration from Roy in the article updated today (see
first link above), " I love giving presents."
So this year we'll celebrate Roy's birthday with The Great RDO Give-Away.
As you know, Chloe has donated the bulk of her memorabilia, and I have other
stuff too. Between now and the 23rd I'll put up some webpages showing the
goodies. You will be able to claim them through the message board from the
23rd, and it will be on a first come, first served basis. The only thing we
ask is a small sum to cover surface mail costs from the UK, payable through
Paypal.
So all you need to do now is ensure you have a Paypal account (or get help
from someone who does) and check that you're able to log into the message
board. Now would be a good time to find out if you remember your password
correctly, because you'll need to be logged in to claim. Contact me with
any problems.
Enjoy
