I had something like that.  I used phd and it said I needed to update the driver.  I did and it is the incorrect one.  Had to fresh flash the firmware.  Took a long time but when done it worked.  I now cancel any update requests. J

Thank this site of professional and great people who told me what to do and repair it.  My 12” is beginning to have problems, but I love the optics.

I would connect the telescope to your computer and do a fresh Flash Load to over-write the existing firmware; it sounds like communication has been disrupted.

      Hello Everyone,

We have a 16" RCX-400 that is about 5 years old that we never used.  We put it in a new observatory and when we power it up, the hand paddle says "16x2 Version [1.4]" then it says "PRESS KEYS:"  The hand paddle will display any of the keys that you press but it will not do any thing else, it won't boot.  It sounds like the scope is in some sort of diagnostic mode?  Has anyone ever seen this kind of behavior?

      Thanks.

      Lou
