It is a bit tedious but a new battery can be installed, or as I did, place a battery holder on the chassis. Hardest are loosening the nuts around the vol.

This same problem has happened to older computers. They have a same rechargeable battery on the bios board. If the battery dies, the computer no longer has

It won't happen, In the UK RS became Tandy as we already had an RS and together with CPC and Farnell that's where I've bought my components for many years. I
