Group Description

The R1b-P312/S116 group's purpose is to advance testing and understanding of P312. This forum is for FTDNA R-P312 project members. We share detailed data on haplotypes, relationships and evaluate new SNP discoveries. All P312+ people, including those that are of any P312 subclade. Do not join if you are concerned about sharing DNA results.

P312 is an SNP (stable mutation) on the Y chromosome. P312 is also known as S116 or rs34276300. Some of the downstream SNPs are DF19, DF27, DF99, L21, L238, M222 and U152.
