Group Description

The R1b-DF27 group's purpose is to advance testing and understanding of DF27. This forum is for FTDNA R-DF27 project members. We share detailed data on haplotypes, relationships and evaluate new SNP discoveries. All DF27+ people, including those that are of any DF27 subclade. Do not join if you are concerned about sharing DNA results.

DF27 is an SNP (stable mutation) on the Y chromosome. DF27 is also known as S250. Some of the downstream SNPs are Z195, Z209, M153, Z225 and ZZ12.

The modal haplotype for all of DF27 is in Ysearch record 53ZBP.

Please check out the FILES and LINKS menu items of this yahoo group (under MORE).

If you are an FTDNA customer AND are DF27+, please join. http://www.familytreedna.com/groups/r1b-df27/about/background

The group's purpose is to advance deeper testing and understanding of R1b-DF27. An important goal is to discover the full deep ancestral family tree of paternal lineages for DF27 people. The primary method of marking branches in the tree are SNPs.

An important goal is to discover the full ancestral family tree of paternal lineages for all R1b-DF27 people. Please consider deeper SNP testing via Big Y, SNP Pack, FGC, YSEQ or the Advanced Testing menu in FTDNA.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. No sincere question is bad. Key why and what Y DNA testing questions are at http://www.familytreedna.com/groups/r-1b/faq
