Group Description

This cyberspace forum plans to continue a more upbeat intelligent discussion of issues that confront the Philippines today. But these discussions after a while must be translated into some kind of action.

Hence, ProgressiveTimes has begotten a child, Progressive Times Action Group (PTAG)

Furthermore, this ProgressiveTimes Forum believes that it can become the needed catalyst for an alternative media (cyberspace, radio, TV and print) to address the many concerns as well as to accelerate the education of all Filipinos whereever they are. A well educated citizenry can demand accountability and right governance from its leaders. With concerted action, determination and sacrifice, the Philippines will have renewed hopes and a great potential to become a better place so that Filipinos will not have to leave (the country) to live.

Our hope is for you to stay and get involved and we urge all PT members to also "light their own candles" rather than just cursing the darknes. Together, we can achieve PT's lofty goals and altruistic mission. With the help of Filipinos and their friends, all over the world, ProgressiveTimes can truly become a global (moral) FORCE to accelerate needed changes in the socio-economic and political landscape in the Philippines.

As a Filipino living outside the Philippines for more than 35 years but still loves his homeland, I challenge all of you to join us to make the Philippines a better place and a more ProgressiveLand for our children and their children! To do so will be our best legacy to be able to live decently and peacefully. Let's do it NOW before it's too late!

MABUHAY! (Cheers!)
