Hey I thought this was cool, Rich Williams plugged a relatively unknown
progband out of LA that he likes. WOuldn't it be nice if more established
rock personas did this?

DE: Well, what does Rich Williams listen to when
he doesn't listen to his own stuff?
RW: Well, usually I'm in the car with Billy [Greer]
and Robby [Steinhardt] and listening to Robby
switch from station to station to station. *laughter*
I don't listen nearly as much as I really should
anymore, and when I'm home
I've got three kids,
and I'm more of a shuttlebus than anything else.
DE: It's good to know fame doesn't change some
RW: I've spent a lot of time listening to [talk shows]
for answers. I'll bet there is some good stuff out
there. There's some stuff I want to hear, that people
have been telling me about, they're on the Magna
Carta label. There's a big resurgence of interest in
progressive music and there's a lot of it out there.
Thank god for the Internet. There's a band called
Under The Sun on Magna Carta, very cool band.
Terry Brown who was the engineer/producer with
Rush mixed it, and it's very interesting. A heavy,
very progressive sound, similar to
I mean, we're
a big influence on them. The only reason I know
this is we spent three days hanging around with
them in Los Angeles. They were picking my brain
