ProgDay is pleased to announce a performance by Sweden's finest space-
      rock export, The Spacious Mind!

Where hard-hitting space rock and blissful, drifting psychedelia
meet, you will find The Spacious Mind. With ten releases to their
credit since forming in 1991, this Swedish trio has established
themselves as one of the world's foremost practitioners of the
psychedelic rock style pioneered by the likes of Hawkwind, Gong, and
Ash Ra Tempel. Their captivating style features loose,
improvisational sonic attacks laced with eyeball-melting effects, all
filtered through glacial sheets of reverb. Long, gradually evolving
tracks with analog synth textures and organic guitarwork provide a
launching pad for inner space exploration.

On 2005's Rotvälta, their first studio CD release since 1999's
brainstorming masterpiece The Mind of a Brother, The Spacious Mind
once again display their command of the aural vocabulary of classic
      psychedelic rock.

ProgDay XI marks their second-ever US appearance, after a well-
received set at 2002's Terrastock festival in Boston. Get ready to
crack open your dome as the interplanetarian love machine burrows its
way into the center of your brain.

Held September 3rd and 4th, 2005 at Storybook Farm in Chapel Hill,
North Carolina, ProgDay is the world's longest-running progressive
rock festival, offering two days of sun, fun and the very best in
adventurous rock music. Be sure to visit www.ProgDay.com for more
details on ProgDay XI, including Spacious Mind mp3s and the latest
      ticket information.
