      Hi Everyone,

As this is my 1st post to this new list, I wanted to provide a newly found
site dedicated to all types of music including *prog* that is listenable
over the Internet via Real Audio player. It has nothing to do w/ the band
KANSAS, just happens to be out of a station in Kansas I think. I just tried
it for the 1st time today & I had a small problem w/ buffering which may be
on my end. Check it out, you may find some interesting things in the *prog*
      area.
The original message that I received is posted below as to where the url is
      located @!............

Cranium Music has recently sponsored an internet radio show on "KANSAS
FREE RADIO" The broadcast is in Real Audio and goes for approx 90
minutes. Steve Taafe is the DJ and owner of KANSAS FREE RADIO. In
Show 17 he features tracks from our own Cranium label releases (Moby
Trip and Datura) as well as other New Zealand and Australian prog and
psychedelic bands. You can tune into RADIO FREE KANSAS at:
      http://www.tafcommedia.net/music.htm
Kansas Free Radio also features other progressive, psychedelic & rock
shows. So if you are having trouble hearing the music we all like, here
is your chance to tune into a radio show that plays decent sounds.

Hmmmm, I tried this site a while back, and didn't have the right version
of RealAudio. Now I've got Real Audio G2, so I tried again - every
show gives me a "Requested file not found. The link you followed
        may be outdated or innacurate". I tried shows 1a, 2, 16, 20, 24 and 26,
and got the same result from all of them.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong? I'd really like to hear some of
        this stuff...

Yes, there should be a "more info" button on the message when you receive it
from Real Audio, click on it and it's possible that you need a software update
which takes about 3 minutes and then the problem should be rectified.

Once a RealAudio message came up saying they were unable to find the file and
asked if I wanted them to find a way to find the file. I clicked on OK and
they did! it was amazing, now I have no trouble.

I'd recommend trying this early in the morning, if you're an early riser like
I am, try it before 6:00am. that way you can work out the kinks and you'll
have no trouble with net congestion.

the Quarkspace tune Dead Raven Space and Vangelis' Come On are great!!
          excellent!!

Some of the list entries are alternative and psychedelic annoyances, but
they're worth enduring for the great prog tunes. Neu 's SOnderangebot is
excellent too. Guru Guru 's Immer Lustig starts out odd, but turns into a
          masterpiece.

Make no mistake, Manilla Road is Celtic Frost...at least the vocalist....uggh!

That was it. I had RealAudioG2, but you need RealAudioG2 Beta 2 to get
            it to work.

Neat site, although the RealAudio sound quality is a little dodgy and
the songs keep getting disrupted by buffering. I'm listening to show 1
            - I'd like to be able to jump to the Ozric Tentacles song, since I've
heard Close to the Edge hundreds of times and it's 20 minutes long. But
when I slide the little knob that indicates how much of the program has
played, the whole thing locks up on me. I'll have to try it again on
            off-peak hours, if I get a chance.
