      Dear Friends,

As the year draws to a close, Meridian Gallery is pleased to announce its final exhibition of 2010: Speak, Memory. This thought-provoking new exhibition explores the ability of art to contain or construct personal or collective memory through presentations of new work by three Bay Area artists. From the drawings of Heike Liss, which access the primordial and universal to Ruth Eckland’s dream-like videos that verge on abstraction to Vera Kachouh’s realistic film meditation exploring a bombed and abandoned Lebanese home, the exhibition will juxtapose the familiar with the mysterious, the historical with the mythological and the remembered with the imagined.

Speak, Memory opens with a reception on Saturday, December 4th from 6-9 PM. The exhibition will run through February 12th, 2011 at Meridian Gallery’s location in downtown San Francisco at 535 Powell Street. Meridian Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM to 5PM.

With so many wonderful artists on board, Meridian Gallery is excited to bring this collection of new works forward into what will certainly be a great new year. This promises to be a truly fantastic exhibition and we look forward to seeing you there!
