      Hey Allstars,
Here's a free screening next week at Fantasy/Saul Zaentz with filmmakers present.

Subject: Berkeley Filmmakers Screening Series continues with THIRST: Thursday, December 17, 7 p.m.

Wareham Development continues the monthly Berkeley Filmmakers Screening Series, established to showcase the award-winning independent cinema of the filmmakers at the Zaentz Media Center, 2600 Tenth Street, in Berkeley.

The series continues on Thursday, December 17, at 7pm with the screening of THIRST. Directors Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman ask, “Is water a human right or a commodity to be bought and sold?” "Thirst" is about the global drive to privatize water.  The film tells dramatic stories of community resistance:  from a bloody insurrection in Bolivia to political confrontations in California to a growing women's water movement in India. "Thirst" premiered on the PBS series P.O.V. and has been translated into 14 languages. It has become a basic text of the global movement for a human right to water.

Filmmakers Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman will lead a Q&A after the screening.

Tickets are free, but seating is limited and by reservation only.  Previous screenings have sold out.
