last chance to register for Understanding Government Programs
There’s just a few days left (and only 10 more open spots) to sign up for “Understanding Government Programs,” the next class sponsored by the Winona Community Initiative ‘Moving Ahead to Financial Freedom.’
If you have recently had a decrease in income, or know someone who has, please join us on Monday, March 8th, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. I am attaching a pdf of the flyer.
We have a great group of presenters coming to provide information and address questions about how to apply for, qualify for, and make appeals of denials of the following benefits:
· Food Support
· Social Security
· MN Supplemental Aid
Jen Corcoran of the Social Security Administration, Debbie Brady & Shelley Smith-Fletcher of Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services, and Leah Mensink-Jacobson of Winona County Dept of Human Services will be on hand.
It is free & open to the public and will be held at Winona Volunteer Services, 402 E 2nd Street. Refreshments will be provided, and everyone who attends will have a chance to win a WSU Sweatshirt as well!
Please call Winona Volunteer Services at 507-452-5591 by this Friday, March 5th to register. Thank you!
