-I built a box onto the back of my 22ft fifth wheel trailer to haul
all my boat parts. What I did was cut off the square tube bumper and
welded angle iron to the frame so it extends far enough back to mount
a box on. I built my box out of plywood using 2x2s for framing,
screwed and glued with Gorilla Glue-great stuff. Mont it far enough
back so you have a little room for the hinges on the backside. I
built it to hold all the parts for a 12ft, but has enough room to
hold the parts for my new 14ft PB. Didn't build any slots to
organize things just lay things in the box and it works great!
I too use to put my PB in the trailer but now lay it on top. A
stepladder goes in the trailer now, comes in handy around the
campsite and for getting the PB up and down.
