8ft Porta-Bote

Does anyone know of a used 8ft PB for sale? I'm only wanting to spend a max. of £500. It should be in a location where it can be shipped to England, or better

New boats are an improvement in most ways over the old ones

I bought one back in '81 that finally just deteriorated away and bought a new 12 footer three years ago. The transom and seats are HUGE improvements.

Re: Trade my 10'8" porta for your 8'

I had a 12ft and can understand the need to make it more manageable especially for one person. I originally wanted an 8ft as well for mostly the same reasons

Re: Trade my 10'8" porta for your 8'

It is actually more than weight, the length makes it cumbersome to unfold on deck. Smaller would be better for me. I plan to use a Honda 2HP. Thanks Dan On

Re: Trade my 10'8" porta for your 8'

The 8ft hull is only 10# lighter. But it is only rated to carry a motor that is 21# less than what your 10ft can use. Probably only 2hp on the 8ft. You can
