Group Description

A spin-off group from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/synergycommunication .
Join that group before this one.

A place for more abstract aspects of NVC some enjoy discussing in a less structured way than at Synergycommunication. Less "practice" but more talking "about" NVC.

Although here are broader boundaries than synergycom, it's my intent this be primarily about NVC. For example: I'd welcome a posting "Is it helpful to introduce the CONCEPTS of 'jackal' and 'giraffe' during a conflict" or a posting about "Similarties and differences between NVC and NLP." But I'd not want "NLP as the primary basis of communication," "Direct communication via chakras," or "evidence for the existance of a repressive ruling class" as topics here.

I prefer shorter postings and ask trying to keep them under 500 words. As the storage archives get filled to capacity I'll probably be deleting "oversize" postings first.

This group has no official affiliation with and isn't controlled by the Center For Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) and does NOT purport to be always accurately representing or demonstrating the practice of Nonviolent Communication.

Views expressed here are those of the posters and are not necessarily the views of CNVC or the group moderator. Although it's my intention/hope exhanges here are conducted in a spirit of NVC, and with my limited ability to influence the posting style here I try to encourage that, there's no assurance postings here are in a form or spirit consistant with my or CNVC's views of what's an "NVC-based exchange." (I've seen exchanges here sometimes look to me like participants became more interested in 'making their point' than 'making a connection' or even in 'learning') In short, "buyer beware", not everything here "is NVC.")

Postings by new members are "moderated" (must be released by a Moderator).
If anytime these conditions don't suit you PLEASE tell me and let me help find a group that better meets your needs.
