"HALKA" -- POLISH OPERA at the KENNEDY CENTER

Irena Radwanska says tickets for the May 18
performace of "Halka" are going "wartko"
      (fast).

. says "everyone" is going and she's always
      right.

Yes, this has all the markings of another
wielki sped (great herding in) of
Washingtonian Poles, but one has to see
and hear "Halka" once in a while or at least
      once in one's life.

      Right?

It's also an idea for a Mother's Day gift.

So, beat the scalpers and get your tickets
      at (202) 467-4600.

      I'll see you there!!! :)

      POLISH BOY CHOIR of WARSAW

COMING to the KENNEDY CENTER in JULY

      ~~ YOUR HOSPITALITY IS NEEDED!

      Dear Marcin,

I want to alert you to a special event coming
      up in Washington in July.

On Monday, July 9, at 6.00 p.m. the famous
and hugely popular Polish Boy Choir of Warsaw
will be performing live at the Kennedy
Center, on the Millennium Stage for a one-
      hour concert.

Everyone is invited, the event is free and
      no tickets are required.

The boys will be arriving in Washington that
same day; there are 40-45 of them and somehow
we need to find overnight accommodations for
      them.

Their ages are 10-14 and they can be divided
into small groups of 2-4 per accommodation.

If any of your contacts can offer a bed that
night (Monday, July 9) and breakfast the next
morning, the choir would be very grateful.

This is a good chance for Washington area
friends of Poland to offer a helping hand.

As for me, I am a returned Poland Peace Corps
Volunteer who is simply helping the choir
make arrangements for their Washington stay
      and appearance.

For more information, contact me at:
      jonmoore@...

or tel. (202) 244-2844 (lv message)

Thanks in advance for your help,

      John Moore
