Group Description

Though our site is definitely open to everyone and we do support one another, we thought it only fair to be specific. This is an activism oriented group, not simply a support group. Our goals are to cause change; change in society's image(s)of what being plural is all about, change in acceptance from friends, family, co-workers and society as a whole, change in how we are treated/mistreated. NO ONE will need to disclose who they are (unless they wish to) as there is a LOT of behind the scenes work that needs done also.

Many multiples or people "diagnosed" as "suffering" from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), or Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) have decided to change the way they are viewed, treated and labeled. We no longer accept being discouraged, even inhibited, from being the people we are, or hiding who we are out of fear. No longer do we accept the medical model opinion that being plural/multiple is a disorder. BEING MULTIPLE IS A WAY OF LIVING YOUR LIVE(S),NOT AN ILLNESS!

Our views are the same as we are... many and varied. But we are empowered and empowering in this community. Plural or "singlet" this list will encourage and discuss, support and act to change society's idea that we are "disordered", but rather are healthy individuals that share a single body.

We will not allow anyone to be forced into a mold of who they are told they should be. We will enlist our many talents and tools to assist anyone who has a battle to fight concerning their multiplicity. We will use this forum as a way in which to learn from each other and others who have traveled this road before. We WILL effect change. WE HAVE DECIDED TO FIGHT BACK!
