      From: cmosfets@...

      Hello

I am researching the Allans of Peterhead from the late 1700s to the mid 1800s. Most of the Allans at that time were seafaring men working the whaling trade. I need some help finding the ancestors and decendants of Alexander Allan. He was born abt.1800 and was married to Isabella Stephen Feb.20,1920 in Peterhead. His occupation was shipmaster. I can find no record of his death in the SI, so I assume he died before 1855. Isabella died in 1880 at the age of 81 and is listed as the widow of Alexander Allan. Any help large or small would be greatly appreciated.

      Cheers
      Jim Allan
