      Because of my interest in Peterhead Shipmasters (Master Mariners) I have a little information on James Stott :

      JAMES STOTT (Certificate of Competency : 2841 April 3rd.1851)
      Born : c1815, son of George Stott & Jane Davidson
      Married : Margaret Whyte, daughter of John Whyte (Shipmaster) & Janet Mackie on September 25th.1845
      She died on September 19th.1885 (Aged 66 years) (Death Cert. : 168/2 (526))
      Died : July 2nd.1874 (Aged 59 years of cancer) at 141 Skene Street, Aberdeen (Death Cert. 168/2 (526)

      I had not known about David Stott. Do you have any information on his sea-faring career ?
