      Hi group,

      Catherine

      In August 1658 the Golden Star, Mr. Thomas Sprettiman, was let freight in Cadiz to Anthony Upton, factor to Christopher Boone of London, merchant, to carry wine from the Canaries to London.
      On passage she was seized by the Alexander, Captain Henry Warcup.
      Deponents in this case include;

      John Frost of New England, mariner age 22. He served on the Golden Star, but is now one of the company of the Exchange of London, Mr John Peirce.

      John Clarke of New England, mariner age 19, deposes similarly.

      Thomas Sprettiman, native of Peterhead, Scotland age 37
