Hi Celtic: I have no record or way of knowing if any Edward Milne would be
        in my Milne line.

In my original message relating to the Chivas family, the mother of the ten
children was Elizabeth Milne, whose parents were John Milne and Margaret
McWilliam Milne who were married in Longside in 1810. They probably had
four sons...three got into the IGI. They were: John (b. 1814) Robert (b.
1816) George (b. 1822) and James. (b. ?) The first three were by record
born in Longside. I know James got to maturity for in 1856 he purchased a
Lair in St. Peter's Kirkyard, Peterhead to house his mother, Margaret, and
        later his father, John

In the 1890-1901 census for Peterhead Parish there were 740 Milnes. I
recall that earlier, as to Aberdeenshire, the Milnes, on census, numbered
between five and six thousand. I hope to find what happened to the Milne
boys line if I can through the descendants of the Chivas family.

        Best of luck..........Jim Thomson
