      ASEAN in Today’s World 2010 Deadline Extended

      ASEAN in Today’s World is a 2 week international program focused on ASEAN Studies and Asian languages & culture, and is designed for university students from around the world. The medium of instruction is English. It will be held in Thailand, Feburary 26 to March 13, 2010. This event is jointly presented by Kyushu University and Mahidol University and supported by ASEAN Secretariat.

      Eligible Students

      Undergraduate or graduate students over 18 years old who possess high standrats of academic performance (GPA 3.0 or more), fluent in English (TOEFL-PBT 520/TOEFL-iBT 68/TOEFL CBT 190), and will continue their studies at theur home universities after finishing AsTW.


      The following requirements must be submitted to Office of International Affaris UGM by November 30,2009

      1. A completed AsTW Application Form (download)
      2. An Essay-Why I Want to join AsTW (download)
      3. An Official Academic Transcript
      4. A Letter of Recommendation (download)
      5. A copy of a TOEFL/IELTS Score report (Non-native English speakers only)
      6. A letter of recommendation from faculty (Surat pencalonan dari dekanat ditujukan ke KUI UGM)

      For those who have TOEFL score below 520, that applicant must provide extra proof of English competence (download the form here).

      Only one strong candidate who have a strong academic record will get a scholarship of 140.00 yen offered by Kyushu University.
