Group Description

The problem with the State of Michigan Foster care system is pretty obvious to any activist group in the State of Michigan and that is there are way too many children in the system. The reason is that for every $1 the State puts up theirs a reward of $4 from the Federal government making these children the State of Michigan the best cash crop in the State. The legislature had its best chance to pass HB 4118.

This is a common sense bill that would require DHS to place foster children with relatives rather than strangers. (It has an exception clause stating "unless it is not in the best interest of the child," so it will not be an unjust or undue burden on the court, or DHS, or force anyone to place the children in an unsafe placement.) The bill is at http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/2009-2010/billengrossed/House/pdf/2009-HEBH-4118.pdf

Now that the lame duck Legislature has squandered its chance, the new Legislature must be started from scratch .

Working the last election cycle showed me that these new legislature has no clue to what is entailed. Leaving it to the Bureaucrats to once again to put their obsolete plans of planned obsolescence to continue.

This only makes assure that a new crop of children can be provided for this lucrative trade similar to the slave trade eradicated so many years ago.

No statiscs are available, to show how really bad this failed system really cost the State of Michigan producing young adults that end up becoming failed families. Losing their children, becoming involved in drugs, and other criminal activity. This gives the State even more opportunity for more of these children ending up in Prison.
