Earth Changes TV Moves Studios To New Mexico...08/05/02
      by Mitch Battros (ECTV)

We've been meaning to do this for quite some time. The day is now here. We are moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico this week. The caravan is ready to roll on this wonderful cross country venture. I will have my camera with me, so I might just take advantage of some of the most beautiful scenery from Seattle, to Boise, to Salt Lake City, to Albuquerque. Of course the best part will be all the countryside in-between.

I was raised in the southwest, and it will sure be good getting back to a sunny climate. Those of you who are familiar with Seattle know exactly what I'm talking about.

There are many reasons for our move. Perhaps the most important one is to get closer to my family. Many of you know my father died one year ago this month. It was sudden and very challenging for all of us. I feel it is time to give back to my family what they have given me all my life. Love, closeness, caring and a sense of security. The second reason would be for the weather and central location.

ECTV had its beginnings in Seattle, Washington back in April of 1996. We are very grateful for all that have supported us along the way. Seattle is a wonderful place, filled with exciting a creative people. No other city I am aware of can touch Seattle's summer. Only problem with its summer, is it only last about two weeks. Okay, some years four weeks.

I have many fond memories I will be taking with me. After all, this is where I received my training with the Red Cross, King County Emergency Mgnt. Office (FEMA), and began my practice in detox acupuncture. And of course, this is where it all began for Earth Changes TV and Earth News newsletter.

You can imagine the good bye's of the last few weeks having a high emotional charge. But everyone seemed to know, it was just the right thing to do. I send my warmest heart felt thanks for all the people who have touched my life here in the Seattle area, and especially to all those at the studio. You will be missed. Blessings and best wishes to all.

For the road ahead? I am very excited with the changes ahead and the opportunities it will provide. There will be some announcements coming down the road telling of some new ventures that will be exciting, helpful, and useful to us all. One event I look forward to doing, is having a 'live' feed from Chaco Canyon this fall. It is a wondrous place, filled with ancestry, magic and mystery. It is know around the world for having one of the darkest skies. This is a spectacular place for astronomers. Professional and amateur alike.

For those who may have the question of geography related to finding one of the safest places in the United States due to future Earth Changes. First let me state what I have said from the beginning; I believe it is far more important to choose "who" you live with, rather than "where" you live. As one of my geologist friends reminded us 'live on the air' over five years ago, "every place in the world has its share of disasters. It just depends on where you live as to what you might experience." His examples were detailed with graphs and maps showing that on the lower east coast and Gulf of Mexico, you have hurricanes. In the plains states you have tornado's. On the west coast, you have earthquakes. In the mid west you have blizzards. By the time he was done, he had covered the whole map of the US.

His point came across in a very visual, pointed, but gentle way. The bottom line was simply every place has its problems. Perhaps it is more important to make the changes within, rather than without! So I would say yes, for me and ECTV New Mexico is just the place. I would suggest it may not be for everyone. It will be important to turn within and follow "your truth".

Because the studio will be down for five weeks, will not be able to have 'live' video. However, I will continue with 'live' audio interviews starting next week. My first guest will be Michael Mandeville. He has been in contact with me over the last week. Although I have not met Mr. Mandeville, it appears he has some interesting things to say about Earth Changes. I will post a line up next week of future guest to appear on the show.

Breaking News will continue uninterrupted twice daily. Thanks to our crew, especially Sherry Todd our second in control, and Linda Cable our broadband specialist, you will continue to receive the most current and cutting edge breaking news we have quickly become known for. http://www.earthchangestv.com/breaking/index2000.htm

Well folks, it is off to the road for the next few days. If I get a chance along our trek, I will send you an update as to any mis-haps, or more likely, blunders and bloopers as well journey on.

      Thought For The Day
