  • Thanks for your answer! The ninja poles would be nice for antennas, but too expensive at the moment :) Also I would like to have a monopod that I could double use for hiking as well.. but as I've said I'm unsure how to mount it and if it's stable enough.. Maybe I could try to find some clamps.. --- In PanoToolsNG@^$1, "Briar" wrote: > > I would love to get a ninja pole, and maybe...

  • Hi there, I've got a question; I'm doing aerial photography in the mountains and therefore need basically a pole with a good stand (tripod) to hold a small monitor or antenna (not the camera, those things are max 1.5kg). I'm asking here because I found out that a lot of people are using such setups (pole on a tripod) and I wondered if someone could give me an advice or suggestion...

  • A really interesting post from Tom Casey of "fulldome" mailing list. I would like to share it with this mailing list too, and read your comments, because this group is much more active. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fulldome/message/2453 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "...the older first generation 8mm's without the lens coating do not show...

  • Hi panofriends Flash panorama players are becoming always more popular and used. The quality gap from Java Quicktime DevalVR players feels me not so big. Now I'm going to publish some new panoramas and I made a small trip into the world of flash panorama players. My goal is to choose the best one... This is a (not complete) list, I also added some personal points for every viewer...

  • Sorry list I did't see that Karol already poted the new about Ladybug3. So, posted it another time, excuse me for duplication. My first impression is: positive: higher quality, only one units negative: higher size (more parallax error), lower frame rate However my impression is the positive point are more important the the negative ones. I suppose the old Ladybug 2 will go out of...

  • Looking at this interesting motorized panhead I am asking if your head it is really useful to automate my panoramas. I usually shot with my D300+Sigma 10.5mm fisheye. So it is 6 (+0) + 1 (+90°) + 1 (-90°) multi-exposure-shot. Do do this, a motorized pan-head should be able to: 1) tilt +90/-90 2) avoid parallax error A motorized head should be able to control the vertical bracket...

  • Thanks Jim & Peter for fast reply You suggested me two interesting and different approaches 1- the most technical with MPRemap 2- the most 'custom' based on Photoshop I will try both. I suppose the first one is more time saving too, only a bit complicated to work with Panotools commands. Peter, did yuo experiment that the center of the mirror circle is very non-centered too? With...

  • Hello panofriends My question is: which is the best Windows workflow to create 360 videos [using a HDV camcorder and a one shot lens] to view with Pano2VR flash player or Lucid flash player? I have a CanonHV20 and a One Shot Lens. Actually my workflow is: 1-shot 25p spherical mirror video 2-convert .mpeg2 to .avi and import into Imatronics Interactive video 3-create panoramic video...
