  • you're right, erik. while i find it's mandatory for HDR, i also try to handle RAWs linear in pro proscessing for later fusion as with overdone clarity treatment before fusing i sometimes experienced some color artifacts in the fused images. i'm not sure, but i think, the clarity adjustment partially shifts the local exposure values fusion uses to determine the blending points...

  • ACR (and LR) clarity is fine in pre processing images for panos as long as you don't want to process the RAWs later as tiffs or jpegs with HDR or fusion. both are loving linear photos without any adjustments on tonality. of course you need to process _all_ shots for your panos the same way with ACR, either by syncing the treatment, by saving the dev settings or by copy/paste the...
