  • You must be a powerful squinter -- all I see is a black window. On 2/19/2013 11:45 PM, Aldo Hoeben wrote: >> Immerse your self into Sound and Vision, Beck reimagined Bowie's Sound >> and Vision. • Thanks Tom. Good info. On 2/19/2013 11:09 AM, Thomas wrote: > Hi Ken, > > I have both lenses and although I've not done a critical test I would say there is no difference in sharpness at f/5.6. The 2.8 has slightly sharper edges at f/3.5, and I have a feeling the 3.5 may control flare a bit better. > > -- Tom > > > --- In PanoToolsNG@^$1, Ken Warner wrote: >> >> I was wondering if...

  • I was wondering if anyone has done a comparison test between the two Samyang fisheyes for NEX. Samyang/Rokinon has a 8mm f2.8 -- the new one -- and the first gneeration 8mm f3.5 with an E-mount The first generation fishey -- the f3.5 -- is getting cheap. It's big and clumsy compared to the f3.5 but maybe it's a better lens than the f2.8. It would be interesting to see a comparison...

  • The 7.5mm Samyang fisheye for M4/3 is pretty cheap. What is the latest, best way to adapt them to NEX E-mount? Any thing different or better or more clever than the work done by Smooth and Dennis and others a while back?

  • Erik is right. And think about it. If you could do such retasking of fundamental browser actions from script in an HTML page, that would be a HUGE security hole. If image security becomes a more important issue than it is today, then maybe image encryption will be built into script interpreters -- maybe someday. • I suggest offering your services to do this kind of mod. Most people -- me for example -- wouldn't even want to put a screw driver within 5 feet of their (my) camera. • I like the general simplicity of mirrorless cameras. I don't need a viewfinder just a way to set the exposure and other parameters. And I like small and light and cheap. NEX is pretty good for all that except for the lack of proper bracketing and remote shutter activation. The K-01 is a serious candidate for my next camera. They are on eBay for less than $300 USD. I don't need a...

  • Sony sensor. Same a s in the NEX cameras. The nice thing about the Pentax is that lenses are cheap(er) and the camera is more like a real camera than the NEX. And they are getting cheap.
