  • Hi Luca, You can assign a dedicated button to the bracketing function. That was the first thing I did after buying the D700. ;-) Still doesn't help for the silly 1EV restriction :-( Best Bernhard > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: PanoToolsNG@^$1 > [mailto:PanoToolsNG@^$2] Im Auftrag von luca vascon > Gesendet: Dienstag, 26. • Grab-drag is the more intuitive method. That's a fact. Every modern system uses grab-drag (e.g. smartphones, map applications, Adobe etc.). It may be ok for specific uses but in general, this discussion is like flogging a dead horse - or insisting on Quicktime panoramas ;-) Just my 2 cent... Bernhard

  • My first thought was, this must be a prank, a real bad joke. What do they want to achieve with that? Why is the state allowed to install public CCTV everywhere but a photographer not allowed to take panoramas in the public? Did we now reach the point where the executive authority is bound to another law than the citizen? Bernhard

  • ...and: IMHO the "sweet spot" for gigapixels is already at ~300mm for "general purpose" shots (because of DOF, haze, handling etc.) Most probably you will retrieve blurred and unsharp photos with longer lenses because: - the lens is not good enough (especially the mirror lenses - I never found one which can compete with a prime lens) - the tripod is not heavy enough (think in the...

  • I haven't found a matching program either (and I have lots of decoders and tools installed on my system), so it seems that you should be happy that Elecard can open it...and stick to that software... ;-) It seems that MPEG streams finally evolved to the same mess as we have with all these variants of the TIFF format. > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: PanoToolsNG@^$1...

  • I saw the Bing Photosynth app. on the Iphone and I was totally amazed...it's like having your personal stitching assistant on location... @Blochi You're the only one I ever heard of, who tries to use XP64 (oh, exept Jeffrey, who called it "Windows dog poo") ;-) Bernhard -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: PanoToolsNG@^$1 [mailto:PanoToolsNG@^$2] Im Auftrag von Christian Bloch...

  • You didn't tell if the machine is copletely "dead" or just the system not booting. If the battery is exhausted, i would at least expect an error message on the screen. Does it make any sound at all? Any lights going on? Main supplies sometimes die quietly during long time of disuse. Does the harddisk spin up? Older harddisks had the problem that they won't spin up because bearings...
