Re: [PanoToolsNG] Miniature fisheye lenses
- If you're interested, Sunex and Largan are both well kown industries making miniature lenses, including fisheye.

I have been looking at miniature fisheye lenses lately and here are some links ... for subminiature interchangeable lens cameras (like the Pentax Q) or the latest Gopro .. for camera arrays for DIY streetview, 360 video etc, .... or machine vision cameras.
Here is an article which compares Omnitech's and Fujinon fisheyes (for 1/3" to 1") sensors
("Investigation of fisheye lenses for small UAV aerial photography".
He likes the Omnitech more
This article might be interesting for people wanting to do their own fisheye lens analyses.
The Fujinons have very wide apertures which makes them intriguing for low light fisheye photography
A f1.4 Fujinon (with a C to Q mount adapter) would be interesting on a Pentax Q in low light I think.
Subminiature fisheyes are often used in allsky cams, for meteor watching etc. Fujinons seem popular for these. Also popular for this application are the fisheye zooms from Rainbow
Coastal Optics (now Jenoptik make an expensive ($2500) subminiature fisheye lens ... for 2/3" format.
This Senko fisheye (about $300) looks nice but it is a mystery to me
Ditto (a mystery to me) are this Stardot fisheye (about $500)
and these Focussafe fisheyes
