years ago i had trouble uploading pics to a camera (respecting the design
rules) and finaly solved the problem by saving jpg's with the 'Chrominance
sampling' of '4:2:2 or 4:2:0' as indicated on http://www.exif.org/dcf.PDF at
      3.3.7 table 3-3

Compression - Number of pixels - Aspect ratio - Chrominance
      sampling - Compression
      Compressed (JPEG) - Not specified - Not specified - 4:2:2 or 4:2:0
      - Not specified

using 'paint shop pro 9' now bought by Corel and renamed 'PaintShop Photo
      Pro X3'
      http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/eu/en/Product/1184951547051#tabview=tab0
alowed me to specify 4:2:2 or 4:2:0

      hope this helps
      erik
