- That's a great image. I was there last summer, along with 1000's of other tourists. It was wall to wall people so I failed to appreciate the floor, which is very nice.
An interesting story: As you enter the chapel from the museum there are signs saying no photographs, but when I entered there were hundreds of people continuously snapping photos, some even crass enough to use a flash. I asked a guard about the no photos sign and why is everyone taking pictures and he said, "We don't care, do anything". There was one particular fellow up by the exit door though, who continuously yelled "NO PHOTO!!" and "SHHH!" the whole time I was there. The guards and pretty much everyone else just ignored him. He did tend to get in the face of anyone with an SLR camera, even if they weren't actually taking pictures. In all he was much more disruptive to the spirit of the chapel than all the folks taking pictures.
