if anybody interested please mail me, I will provide photos of the mast and panoramas taken with it, here is the description:
The mast is made of glass fibre so it is extremely light, it weights only 1800 gram, when collapsed it is only 116 cm long (just under 4 feet), I attached to it a strap from my camera bag and carried it on my shoulder. It is telescoping. Each section has a duraluminium clamp glued to the end to prevent from braking, also the endings of the collapsed pole are made of hard alloy, the thinnest section has a screw 1/4 inch (I used a Kirk clamp on the pole). I also made a custom bag. The bag is made of 600g cordura and it is filled with soft 1cm thick sponge, it is not designed to be removable, but it is still possible to remove it if you need to. Other stuff is attached to the pole with additional straps. When I tested the pole I could lift 1,3 kg from the ground when the pole was extended to 6 meters and 1kg when the pole was extended to 7 meters. Bear in mind - during the tests I lifted the above weights right from the ground, I wanted to be sure that when I use the pole vertically I can always save the camera if I loose control over the pole. After the tests I decided to use the pole extended to 6 meters (nearly 20 feet) with my camera - I use canon Rabel with sigma 8mm. The 7th section is not extended - I would extend it for a lighter camera.
