RE: [PanoToolsNG] harassed by Pig Dog Rent-a-cops in Zurich main station
- I had a tangential experience Tuesday in Atlanta shooting construction
Apparently, I shot an unmarked federal building. Nothing exciting except for
some interesting reflections it created of the building across the street.
I was quickly approached by an on duty copy and an "administrator".
However, this is where my experience differed.
I was informed, I was doing nothing wrong, could take photos where I liked,
they just wanted to see my id, I didn't have to show my id, I wasn't asked
to delete my photos, or even show them.
The officer just rambled some vague 911 explanation, and apparently was just
doing his shift for the building and was asked to check me out.
All in all, I think they did a perfect job.
BTW, I did show my id, and made my attempt at gathering a new client. J

Subject: [PanoToolsNG] harassed by Pig Dog Rent-a-cops in Zurich main
The european football cup begins tomorrow in switzerland and austria. to
advertise its shoes, Adidas has built some giant football players in the
zurich main station (believed by some to be a public building....)
Here's a preview version which i'll improve later today
There I am, with my tripod extended all the way, luckily just a tiny bit
taller than the fence. On to my second pano, a sharp-toothed and beady eyed
woman and her large-snout gorilla colleague arrive and growl that what I'm
doing is not allowed. can't I see the fence? this belongs to Adidas. I have
to delete my pictures. I wave my hand in dismissal and try to leave, and
they put their hands on me, physically preventing me from going anywhere.
This is where I got angry.
