      Hi All,
I am looking for a QuickMount for my panoramic set.
I need a ROUND version, about 5-5,5 cm, no flex, top and bottom perfect in
      line.
I thought a http://www.novoflex.de/html_d/fr_ha6.htm would do, but top and
      bottom are not in line.
      About 2-3mm off :-(
      Any ideas ?
      Have Fun.

        > I am looking for a QuickMount for my panoramic set.

I was doing some windows shopping the other day and found

        Ideesign Q-top Quick Release
        http://www.photographyreview.com/mfr/ideesign/tripod-heads-and-accessories/PRD_143448_3134crx.aspx
out of production and rare as hens teeth

novoflex mini quick release which you have just mentioned is not
        suitable in practice.

Slik had a nice looking system on some monopods were you just
insterted a peg/post. But I could not find it seperate from a monopod.
Though if you bought an entire ball head with a circular quick release
some of them looked promising but I got lost trying to find my way
        though their

FLM power release system was more in my price range. Small and round
though how sturdy it would be I don't know. Relatively cheap though,
        in comparison anyway.

Anyway as I said just amateur window shopping but I throw it in as fodder.

Jook, the Giottos MH 500 is nice but it has 2 mail screws on both side is
                that so ?
Indeed the idea is to mount my NN3 arm with base on a Seitz VR rotator via a
                QM adapter,
(http://tinyurl.com/yt6vvv) but I also want to use the same top on a normal
rotator so I need a mail/female solution in line.
(Jook, a 1/4 thread is yet in the drive)
The Ideesign Q-top Quick Release is perfect.
                Thanks for tips
                Have Fun.

                  Hi Frank,

I found the Giottos MH 500 works perfectly for me on the VRDrive
                  <upside down>.
The 1/4 male in the quick release plate (it's reversible) goes into
                  the top of the VRDrive.
The 3/8 male in the other part is now facing up and will go into the

                              Update:
I got the 2 Ideesign QM'ts but unfortunally the base 3/8 female isn't
                              centered perfectly. 1,2 mm off.....
For the rest it's perfect ! and very strong
With a new productionrun it could/should be centered. ( so it can be used ON
                              a rotator like the Seitz)
Peter Emmerich from Germany wants to do that but a new productionrun has to
                              be around 200-300 units.
                              http://www.pepd.de/27.htm
The old stock is perfect for under a small rotator like the Ninja !!

                              For Jook,
Got the Giottos MH-200 and it's fine on a Seitz
The 1/4 screw was somewhat short so I replaced that with a 1/4 threat +
                              1/4>3/8 adapter.
So I found out when removing the 1/4 screw in the "normal upper part" a
                              femaile 3/8 came available.
So a MH-200 can be used (upside down) on any tripod with a 3/8 mail
connection, hey, and that's nice too.
                              Have Fun
                              Frank
