      Hi all:

I'm new to this egroup. I live in the SFO bay area in the US and just
about started to learn Pali on my own through stuff that I downloaded
      off the internet.

If there is anyone who is only a beginner and thinks that going it
together might help learn Pali more efficiently, please let me know.

      My email ID is aanandk@...

        Hi all:

I am new to this egroup. I live in the SFO bay area of the US and
just recently started to learn Pali.

I realize though, that unless I practice I will forget as quickly as
I learn it. If there's someone around here who is also interested in
learning Pali, please let me know at aanandk@...

nama rupa (as appears in dependent arising formula)
          same as khandhas?
I asked a monk this question, he says yes they are the
same. Is that the common understanding? Or are there
          some subtle differences?

There are some tangible differences - for example, nama-rupa does not
            include vi~n~naa.na-khandha.
