      Dear friends,
I recently discovered a typo in Pali Primer lesson 17,
on page 66, 2nd line from the bottom. The 2nd person,
plural, form of past tense for base -e verbs should be
      "corayittha", not "corayitha" as shown.

Naturally enough this error was incorporated into the
Pali Conjugations summary document I posted to
      http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pali/files/primer/ some
time ago. I have just now put up the revised version.

I also revised the Pali Declensions document to
include the sample noun for each declension in the
table, e.g., nara for masculine -a, phala for neuter
-a, etc. I think this will be helpful.

      Metta,
      John

        Hi John,

        Thank you for the corrigenda.
As I compare a table of declensions from Achim Fahs Grammatik des Pali
with your table, i find that the first also has -an, -in, -ant,
-(v)ant, -as and -us endings. On the other hand, your table treats
genitive and dative as clearly distinct, which is not the
        case in the Grammatik.

Let me wish you a further enhancement of the table as we work through
Gair and Karunatillake textbook. I am now translating lesson 11, and
would gladly revise all from the start - it has been the longest
        translation in my life.

        Metta,
        Dimitry

          Hi Dimitry,
Thanks for your feedback on the declension table.
Yes, I know it is missing some that are in other
grammars. It was intended simply to be a summary of
all I had learned so far in Pali Primer. No doubt as
I work through Gair now I will find more declensions,
and so update the table. And as I do, I will run the
changes through you, since with your herculean
translation task, you are clearly intimate with the
          contents of the book!

          Metta,
          John
