      Dear friends

Among the two sentences below, it seems to me the the second sentence, where the infinitive 'vattum' has a object in Accusative, is more frequent and therefore correct. But I am not sure.

      A. Vitthaaro idha vattum. na sakkaa.
      B. Vitthaaram. idha vattum. na sakkaa .

(It is impossible to tell in detail here.)

It is possible to find examples in post-canonical pali of A. For instance na sakkaa maggo akkhaatu.m: the way cannot be told, Milinda 269. I have noticed

It is possible to find examples in post-canonical pali of A. For instance na sakkaa maggo akkhaatu.m: "the way cannot be told," Milinda 269. I have noticed similar examples in the commentarial lit. sakkaa is in some cases used in agreement with a noun in the nominative as in A. B is common. Thus both readings are possible.
