        Greenman's Delight

"Come dance with me", the poet said,
        "Come glide between the streams.
        Let's fly from strife,
        The ills of life,
        Explore my land of dreams…"

I took his hand and surfed the night,
        I sailed the spangled sky.
        In emerald gown
        And ivy crown
        He parted thigh from thigh.

On the aged alter of his oak
        He made my mossy bed.
        His gentle eyes
        Milked earthen sighs,
        His hands caressed my head.

My mind gave host to crashing waves,
My breasts lay loose and free.
        His furnace tongue
        Left no song unsung
As it imbibed each part of me.

        My anchor's breached , I'm set adrift,
        On a luscious, greenwood sea.
        Through hazy eyes
        I forged my ties
With the man and his oak tree.

How long I had lain I couldn't tell
As Dawn the dark clouds tore,
        But in my room
        I espied a broom
That wasn't there the night before…
