- Christmas Carol
Up on the mountain, almost all alone and yet seemingly not scared;
The recluse lived with just his dog, they were perfectly paired;
Just a run down shack in the woods was about all he had;
That and his best friend Jake so things weren't that bad;
A little porcelain statue that he kept close to his heart;
Was given to him last December by a widow down by Wal-Mart;
She said her name was Christmas Carol and she seemed so very nice;
But why oh why did she have to go swimming in the pond with ice?
Now, his days were spent warming up by the heat of the stove;
For she was now'sleeping in the shade of the grove;
But, in his dreams at night she visits and he smiles till she leaves;
It is a miracle to him, for thru this to her he cleaves.
