      Quan Yin Ritual for Pagan Troops and their Families

      On Saturday evening, September 26, 2009, a Quan Yin Ritual, to honor and
      heal those who serve, will be held in Southern California. It is focused on
      providing healing and support for Pagans and other Goddess folk in the
      military and their families.

      This Goddess Spirituality interfaith event is being organized and presented
      by two California organizations, the Abbey of Avalon and the Goddess Temple
      of Orange County, with the networking support of the Order of the Pentacle,
      a national Pagan veterans organization and Operation Circle Care (OCC), a
      Pagan troops charity sponsored by Circle Sanctuary.

      The ritual will be held beginning at 7 pm at The Goddess Temple of Orange
      County, 17905 Sky Park Circle, #A, Irvine, California 92614; phone: (949)

      The ritual is open to men, women, and children. Those planning to attend
      should arrive no later than 7 pm. The site will be open for arrivals
      beginning at 6:30 pm.

      The evening also includes a silent auction, performers, and refreshments.

      REGISTRATION: pre-registration is appreciated, but not required. Cost is
      $10/person ($5/person for military personnel in uniform). To pre-register

      BRING: If possible (not required), please bring Pagan medallions, Goddess
      images, CDs of Pagan music, other items to be sent by OCC to Pagan troops
      serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. See the list of needed items:
      Items collected at this event will be shipped to OCC for distribution to
      Pagan troops this Fall and at Yuletide.
