This is one of the Leslie Luker books. There were a number of them
published from the late fifties into the early eighties, I believe.
Most of the titles were published via the Adana Manufacturing Co. They
cover a range of topics and were designed for the "small printer"; in
American English this would be the "hobby printer."
The classic in this genre is _Printing For Pleasure_ which is still in
print and sold by Oak Knoll Books. There was to be a new edition of this
I was commissioned to write a chapter on photopolymer for itbut the book
was eventually cancelled. And John Ryder has since passed away. I later
used that as the seed for _Printing Digital Type..._
I don't have this particular Luker book but I suspect most of the inks
and papers mentioned in it would be hard to find at this point. Still,
if it interests you I would certainly pursue the acquisition. You never
know what little gem of passed on knowledge you might find.
