      12 Weeks: Aug 2-Dec 13

      Alternate Saturdays: 9:00-5:00

      $143.50 including materials

      Beginners and experienced printers welcome. Spread over 12Saturdays,
      this summer and fall, you will have time to practice all aspects of the
      craft. The class will be using handset metal and wood type and photo
      polymer plates and Linocut and traditional letterpress cuts. In addition
      to class projects, students are encouraged to explore personal projects.
      You will take away a basic knowledge of letterpress printing techniques,
      both new and old and the historical foundation for each. Each student
      will participate in individual and collaborative projects and complete a
      small book by the end of the class. Facilities:100+ cases of type and
      the opportunity to print on a 5" x 8" table, a10" x 15" floor model
      platen and a 20" x 36" flatbed cylinder press.

      Students with Letterpress experience can work on self-motivated
      projects in this supervised class. Application of principles and
      theories introduced in previously taken letterpress courses. Projects
      address information gathering, idea generation, concept
      development,production and distribution.
