Perhaps the correct word is conglobulate.
Perhaps they could but unlikely. The format, while it can serve as a
very useful component in instruction, really doesn't lend itself to in
depth learning. Not like real time hands on. Think about learning a
software program from a video tutorial, often useful but somehow
doesn't quite do the job no matter how well done.
