You are invited to the opening of TWO artist book exhibitions this Thursday, March 1st from 4-7pm at Oregon College of Art and Craft.

In the Centrum is the annual Book Art Department show featuring the prints, letterpress-printed books, one-of-a-kind books, boxes and collections.

In the Hoffman Gallery is a traveling exhibition "Invisible Cities and Hidden Landscapes". Devised as an opportunity to promote dialogue between teaching institutions in Britain and the United States, this exhibition investigates the medium of artists' books. Participants were invited to submit a book of their choice in response to Italo Calvino's poetic novel "Invisible Cities". More than sixty artists contributed to this exhibition including current OCAC students Melanie Brauner, Ruth Bryant, Ava Goldberg, Ruby Kapka, Michelle Latham, Erin Mickelson, Elizabeth Rank, Gwen Stronach; and alumni Rachel Fish and Sue Selby.

The University of West Essex (Bristol, England), Coleg Sir Gar/University of Western Wales (Carmarthen, Wales) and Kansas State University and OCAC are part of this four-college exchange exhibition, organized by Cath Fairgrieve.

The show is up through April 1st. For more information, call 503-297-5544
