We welcome new members and invite participation as "Citizens in Support of the Sea Services." Being a mariner or veteran is not a prerequisite. This council supports the U.S. flag Merchant Marine - U. S. built, owned, and registered vessels with U.S. citizen officers and crews, the nation's maritime industry and the maritime trade organizations. We honor our nation's seafarers; we celebrate National Maritime Day. Internationally piracy and maritime terrorism is a focus; regionally it's the Pacific Coast Marine Highways.
