This energetic council hosts luncheons with noted guest speakers in Oakland or aboard our "adopted" National Liberty Ship Memorial S.S. JEREMIAH O'BRIEN, Pier 45, San Francisco. Please join us.
We sponsor and support the Merchant Marine orientated Arkansas Division Sea Cadets, San Francisco,
We welcome new members and invite participation as "Citizens in Support of the Sea Services." Being a mariner or veteran is not a prerequisite. This council supports the U.S. flag Merchant Marine - U. S. built, owned, and registered vessels with U.S. citizen officers and crews, the nation's maritime industry and the maritime trade organizations. We honor our nation's seafarers; we celebrate National Maritime Day. Internationally piracy and maritime terrorism is a focus; regionally it's the Pacific Coast Marine Highways.
Visit the League's website, http://www.navyleague.org. For the council this group website is a primary means of communications with members and the public. Its Links page is extensive. The council has a social and professional presence using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Xing, Sea Folks, etc.
