Map & DirectionsThe San Francisco Fleet Week Association produces free of charge to the public each year one of the most spectacular air shows and festivities on the west coast.Each Year the San Francisco Fleet Week Association must raise $500,000 to produce Fleet Week and its expanded mission-disaster preparedness training.While Fleet Week relies mainly on corporate sponsorship to help cover expenses with a small portion of funds coming from exhibit space, reserved seating and vendor sales. In the current economic climate the reduced availability of corporate sponsorship is threatening the future of San Francisco Fleet Week.The San Francisco Fleet Week Association will be holding a series of fun, energizing events to assist raising the critically needed funds to keep the Fleet Week legacy alive! The centennial of Naval Aviation will be celebrated! The U.S. Navy 3rd Fleet will again participate in the Parade of Ships. The Air Show will include the Navy Blue Angels, Marine Harrier Jet & the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Plus there will be athletic competitions and fleet community outreach projects, band concerts and a VIP Marine Corps Band performance. Emergency preparedness and humanitarian capabilities of the military will be displayed.San Francisco Council members Mike Dennis and Mark Flagel are involved in the planning. If you should decide to join, list on the application a sponsor you know. There are several amongst us - two that come to mind are Stan Ellexson and Bill & Jeanne Sharkey. By doing so the sponsor earns a complementary night at the hotel. Rates for members are above $100 plus tax and parking and higher for non-members. But there are various special offers for members. Of note is the reciprocal club agreements with other clubs in the USA and overseas.
